A Day out in Gillingham

On a dark damp February morning two intrepid travellers arrived at Wigan Railway Station.

No they weren't train spotters; they were travelling to Gillingham to attend the District Meeting for Kent.
The Lodge Room
Arriving into Euston Station after being treated to hospitality courtesy of Richard Branson, they were met up with Stuart Leach, following a brisk walk in a surprisingly busy London; they arrived at St Pancras Station boarding the 8.52am train for a bright sunny Gillingham
Peter Brockbank the DGP for Kent was on hand to welcome Paul, Geoff and Stuart thanking them for their attendance.

Peter lives near Dartford in south east London, regularly attending meetings of Portal Council at Garston where he is a member.
Following the District Meeting, guests were invited to pre lunch drinks.
Enjoying Refreshment
Following an enjoyable lunch, the journey home began, after an uneventful train journey helped by hospitality courtesy of Richard Branson they all arrived home around 8.00pm, although a long day it had been a thoroughly enjoyable occasion.
