A Day out in Gillingham |

On a dark damp February morning two intrepid travellers arrived at Wigan Railway Station. |

No they weren't train spotters; they were travelling to Gillingham to attend the District Meeting for Kent. |
The Lodge Room |
Arriving into Euston Station after being treated to hospitality courtesy of Richard Branson, they were met up with Stuart Leach, following a brisk walk in a surprisingly busy London; they arrived at St Pancras Station boarding the 8.52am train for a bright sunny Gillingham Peter Brockbank the DGP for Kent was on hand to welcome Paul, Geoff and Stuart thanking them for their attendance. |

Peter lives near Dartford in south east London, regularly attending meetings of Portal Council at Garston where he is a member. Following the District Meeting, guests were invited to pre lunch drinks. |

Following an enjoyable lunch, the journey home began, after an uneventful train journey helped by hospitality courtesy of Richard Branson they all arrived home around 8.00pm, although a long day it had been a thoroughly enjoyable occasion. |
